Commissioning: Quality Assurance/Performance Testing

Quality Assurance/Performance Testing

Whether you are designing a new building or retrofitting an existing one, commissioning can ensure that your heating, cooling, and other mechanical systems work efficiently together to save energy and reduce your operating costs.

  • Commissioning is a quality control check, from project inception through the installation and operation of the energy efficient equipment.

  • We supervise independent engineers who monitor your project during construction, conduct on-site testing when systems are operational, and then work with the project engineers and contractors to resolve deficiencies.

  • Commissioning insures that the equipment installed operates as intended.

  • Frequently, even with good project teams, the proper equipment gets installed and performs as its intended function of heating or cooling, but does not operate efficiently. The commissioning process corrects these shortcomings and insures that the equipment is running efficiently.
